Ya You Betcha Christmas !

1. Snow is falling, winter's calling, Christmas time is near,
Radio counts shopping days 'til Christmas day is here.

2. Catalogs appearing now from each and every store,
Now they're open 'til eleven, hoping we'll buy more.

3. So we all go to the mall, Salvation Army man,
Rings that bell, the world to tell, and coins go in his can.

4. Scratchy records play the songs this season knows so well,
What other time would people long for organ, chimes, and bells?

5. I saw Santa at the store and so I know he's real,
But as to reindeer, there are doubts...he rode a snowmobile.

6. Rosy cheeks, the mayor speaks, the people come to see,
When it's dark, I make a spark, and light the Christmas tree.

(Sing it guys...)

Refrain:
Ya You Betcha....Ya You Betcha....Ya You Bet........Cha!!!

7. Decorations from the attic, time to put things up,
They are the same ones we have used since Hector was a pup.
(Who's Hector?)

8. Furniture is moved around, a sheet upon the floor,
We all wait to see that great big tree come through the door.
(That'll never fit !)

9. Lights and balls and tinsel falls,we don't know when to stop, (oops!)
The star is here, but seems most years, the angel's on the top.

10. Orange lights, my heart delights, the haloes are so neat,
I go outside so I can see the window from the street.

11. Kitty sniffing at the catnip wrapped up 'neath the tree,
The dog has seen this Christmas green, and marks his terri'try.

12. Candles burning, Yulelog turning older by the year,
Ancient wax of Christmas past, plus one that's almost here.

Refrain:
Ya You Betcha....Ya You Betcha....Ya You Bet........Cha!!!

13. Christmas smells, and jingle bells, and all the cards galore,
The mailman's been here twice today, and now he's back with more.

14. Sugar cookies by the ton, but Spritz they are the best,
Pepparkakor, Fattigmand, and frozen are the rest.

15. Then we find the neighbor's kind, just as he was before,
He's made a wreath, a bow beneath, and hung it on our door.

16. Neighbor's stopping, rootbeer popping, just to say hello,
Maybe one more Christmas cookie, then we gotta go.

17. Carols singing, goodies bringing, lady to the door,
Porchlight shows her one year older, than she was before.

18. Little children in the yard, a reindeer made of snow,
Red ribbon tied around his neck, just two more days to go.

Refrain:
Ya You Betcha....Ya You Betcha....Ya You Bet........Cha!!!

19. Presents slowly start appearing, spread out on the floor,
Sister says I can't come in, (Get out !) she must be wrapping more.

20. To oranges, apples, Cracker Jacks, we're treated at the school,
Thanks to our local wholesaler, we get these as a rule.

21. Rootbeer fizzing, dog is missing, concert at the school,
Merry Christmas !....Hauskaa Joulua !, some still say Good Yule !

22. High school chorus singing for us, dressed up for one night,
Someone fainted off the back, they say that he's alright.

23. Sunday School promotes good Yule, the program starts at four,
A manger scene where I am being the dog upon the floor.

24. Little girl is all dressed up with candles on her head,
Lucia comes with breakfast treats for parents in their bed.

(One more time....)
Refrain:
Ya You Betcha....Ya You Betcha....Ya You Bet........Cha!!!

25. After supper Mom delares that she can hardly wait,
And maybe we should open one, which soon turns into eight.

26. Christmas Eve we head to church for ten forty five,
But so Mom can see the Christmas lights, Dad takes us for a drive.

27. Christmas service, I am nervous, church bell starts to ring,
Trumpet calling all the faithful, then they start to sing.

28. The church is packed on Christmas Eve, they turn the lights down low,
The heads nod off 'til Silent Night says that it's time to go.

29. After church I take a walk with sleighbells on my head,
I shake them so the little ones might hear them in their bed.

30. Stockings hanging in a row, a cardboard fireplace,
Mom and Dad are waiting for the look upon our face.

Refrain:
Ya You Betcha....Ya You Betcha....Ya You Bet........Cha!!!

31. Christmas dawn, my slippers on, the time has come at last,
I blow my bugle at the stairs, it gets them up real fast.

32. Morning pleasures, Santa's treasures sitting in a pile,
One by one they're passed around, and one by one we smile.

33. Mom and Dad, their bathrobes on, sit back and watch the fun,
Paper scattered everywhere, and joy in everyone.

34. Grandma, Grandpa, Christmas dinner, all of us are there,
Women washing dishes, while the men seek out a chair.

35. I look around and see the faces, each and every one,
Christmas past, and Christmas now, all woven into one.

36. Christmas treasures are forever, not just when we're small,
Christmas memories, lasting 'ever, live within us all.

Refrain:
Ya You Betcha....Ya You Betcha....Ya You Bet........Cha!!!

(How about a big finale guys?)

Ya you betcha, Christmas is the greatest time of year,
Ya you betcha, now's the time, 'cuz Christmas time is here !

(Could you do that again?)

Ya you betcha, Christmas is the greatest time of year,
Ya you betcha, now's the time, 'cuz Christmas time is here !

Ya you betcha,
Ya you betcha,
Ya you bet.........Cha !!!

(Merry Christmas to the child in each of you.)

Cha !!!!!!

(Thanks for helping.)
(Nice job guys!......Hey, thanks. Merry Christmas !)
(Merry Christmas!)
